New opportunities for people and materials

The Viennese Upcycling Design Manufaktur trash_design is part of the Dismantling and Recycling Centre, a recycling, reuse and upcycling company for used electrical appliances.

As a socio-economic enterprise of the Viennese Adult Education Centres and on behalf of the AMS, the DRZ offers job-seekers meaningful employment and support in re-entering the labour market.

At trash_design, socially and ecologically sustainable design products have been created since 2003 from particularly attractive e-waste parts, such as washing machine drums - tables and stools, scanner glass - lamps, records - wall clocks and much more - handmade together with people looking for work.
